Frozen Mudslide Recipe

A healthier frozen mudslide made without ice cream. All you need is vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, and ice.
Prep Time5 minutes
Total Time5 minutes
Course: Cocktail
Cuisine: American
Servings: 1 cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce vanilla vodka
  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur I like Kahlúa
  • 2 ounces Irish cream Bailey's
  • 1 ounce dark chocolate liqueur (or Creme de Cocoa) optional
  • 1 cup ice
  • Optional Cool Whip or whipped cream and cocoa powder for top

Instructions

  • Combine vodka, Irish cream, coffee liqueur, and optional chocolate liqueur in a blender with a cup of ice.
  • Blend on high for 20-30 seconds or until the ice is smooth and the mudslide has thickened. Add more ice if the mudslide is too thin.

Notes

You can add 2 scoops of ice cream to this if you would like. If you do add ice cream, you will need less ice as you'll gain a more creamy texture from the ice cream itself.
Start with 1 cup of ice and add more as needed to thicken. It should be easily sipped, creamy, and not granular or chunky.
Want more chocolate? try adding an ounce of dark chocolate liqueur as well!
Serve in a frozen hurricane or pint glass drizzled with chocolate syrup to keep mudslides frozen longer. I topped mine with a little Cool Whip and sifted some cocoa powder over the top.
